Terms of Use for Food For You
Effective date: 17 October 2026
Food For You (“the app”) helps you decide where to eat by picking a restaurant near you. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
The short version: the app is a guide, not a guarantee. Places can be closed or out of date, and directions are only a help, so check the signs and follow the rules of the road. The map and place information come from Google, and Google’s terms apply to them too.
1. Who we are
Parody Gaming Studio (“we”, “us”) publishes the app.
Questions about these terms: support@foodforyou.app
2. What the app does
Food For You finds restaurants near the location you give it, picks one for you, and can show you the way there. You can save places, hide places, and keep recent picks on your phone.
Please remember:
- Places can be wrong. A restaurant may be closed, moved, full, or different from how it is listed. Opening hours, ratings, prices, photos and phone numbers may be out of date. Check before you go.
- Directions are a guide only. Road conditions change and a route may not suit your vehicle or your journey. Follow the rules of the road, obey signs and signals, and keep your eyes on the road. Don’t use the app while driving if that would be unsafe or against the law where you are.
- You choose where to eat. We don’t run, own or vouch for any restaurant in the app, and we have no part in what happens between you and a restaurant.
3. Google Maps features and content
The app includes Google Maps features and content. Your use of those features and content is subject to the then-current versions of:
- the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service: https://maps.google.com/help/terms_maps/
- the Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Restaurant details, ratings, photos, maps and directions in the app come from Google. Photos belong to their owners and are credited in the app.
4. Food For You Plus
Food For You Plus (“Plus”) is optional. You can get it as a yearly subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase.
- What you get: no ads, notes on saved spots, a Menu button, and Been-there marks, as described on the Plus screen in the app.
- How it is sold: as a yearly subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase, both through Google Play. Google Play shows the price before you buy. Prices vary by country.
- Free trial: where a free trial is offered, the Plus screen says so. When the trial ends, Google Play charges the yearly price, and then charges it every year until you cancel.
- Lifetime: a one-time payment through Google Play. It gives you Plus for as long as Food For You is offered on Google Play. It isn’t a subscription and doesn’t renew, so there is nothing to cancel.
- Billing, renewal and cancellation of the yearly subscription all happen in Google Play, not in the app and not with us. We don’t take or see your payment details. You can cancel any time in Google Play → Subscriptions, or through Manage subscription in the app, which opens Google Play. If you cancel, Plus stays on until the end of the period you have paid for (or the trial). If a payment fails, Google Play may pause Plus until it is fixed.
- Refunds, for the yearly subscription and for lifetime, go through Google Play under its policies. Ask Google Play for a refund. If a lifetime purchase is refunded, Plus turns off.
- Your Plus follows your Google account. The app asks Google Play whether your account has an active subscription or a lifetime purchase, and remembers the answer on your phone.
We may change what Plus includes. If its price changes, Google Play will tell you.
5. Ads
The app shows ads when you don’t have Plus: small banner ads, and a full-screen ad now and then between picks. They are served by Google AdMob. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before any ad is requested, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy options. Plus removes the ads.
We don’t choose or check each advertiser. We aren’t responsible for the ads you see or for anything you buy from an advertiser.
6. Acceptable use
You must be 13 or over (or the minimum age in your country) to use the app. Please use it as it is meant to be used. Don’t:
- misuse the app, or use it to break the law or harm anyone;
- scrape, copy or bulk-collect the app’s restaurant data, maps or directions, or use them outside the app;
- reverse engineer, decompile or take apart the app, or try to get around its limits, ads or Plus checks;
- send automated requests to our server, or try to disrupt it.
The app limits how many searches can be made each minute and each day. If we think the app is being misused, we may limit or block that use.
7. Your content
Your saved spots, notes, Been-there marks, hidden places, recent picks and settings stay on your phone. We never receive them and have no copy of them. That means we can’t recover them for you if you lose your phone or clear the app’s storage, apart from whatever your phone’s own backup keeps. You can delete them at any time (see the privacy policy).
We don’t claim any rights over your notes. The app’s name, design, sounds, code and other material belong to us or the people who license them to us. You may use them only to use the app.
8. Disclaimers and limits on liability
The app is provided “as it is” and “as available”. We work to keep it useful, but we can’t promise that it will always work, be free of mistakes, or be available without a break, or that the information in it (including anything from Google) is accurate, complete or up to date.
We aren’t responsible for a restaurant’s food, service, opening hours, prices or safety, or for a journey you take using the app’s directions.
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses or damage that we couldn’t reasonably have foreseen, for lost profits or data, or for anything that comes from relying on information in the app. Our total liability to you for anything to do with the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it, which for a subscription is what Google Play charged you in the 12 months before the claim, and for lifetime Plus is the one-time price you paid.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit or exclude, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Nothing here takes away your legal rights as a consumer.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example if the app or the law changes. The new version will be posted at this address and the effective date above will change. Significant changes will be noted in the app’s release notes. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms. If you don’t accept them, stop using the app and uninstall it.
We may also change or stop the app. You can stop using it at any time by uninstalling it.
10. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute about them or the app, are governed by the law that applies to the publisher, Parody Gaming Studio, except that you keep any consumer rights that the law where you live gives you and that these terms can’t remove.
11. Privacy
How the app handles your information is explained in the privacy policy.
